This is part of the AfNOG 2012 Workshop, held in conjunction with the AfNOG meeting in Serrekunda, The Gambia on May 6th 2012.


INTRODUCTION

This one-day supplemental workshop is part of the AfNOG 2012 Workshop on Network Technology, held in conjunction with the AfNOG meeting in Serrekunda, The Gambia on May 6th 2012.

This course held for those students needing some intensive, hands-on training to introduce them to core UNIX operating system concepts as well as fundamental network concepts.

Topics covered include:

Who should attend: AfNOG 2012 attendees who are not proficient at with the use of the UNIX or Linux operating system and for those wishing for an introduction to fundamental networking.

Prerequisites: Basic computer experience.
