Problems
- Does NOT scale
- Customer /32 routes in IGP – IGP won’t scale
- More customers, slower IGP convergence
- Support becomes expensive
Solutions
- Route “Static Dial” customers to same RAS or RAS group behind distribution router
- Use contiguous address block
- Make it very expensive – it costs you money to implement and support
