BR & BDR Election Process

• In BMA, each OSPF interface has a configurable Router Priority.

• The default in Cisco is 1.

• If you don’t want a router to take part in the election process, set the priority to 0. This is done in interface configuration mode:

  “ip ospf priority 0”
