• OSPF and IS-IS are the only routing protocols MPLS has got traffic engineering extensions for.

• OSPF v1 is described in RFC 1131

• OSPF v2 is described in RFC 2328

• Only OSPF v2 made it to operational status, but several vendors modified (and modify) OSPF’s characteristics.
