• IOS has a built-in help facility; use “?” to get a list of possible configuration statements

• “?” after the prompt lists all possible commands:

  
  
  router#?

• “<partial command> ?” lists all possible subcommands, e.g.:

  
  
  router#show ?
  router#show ip ?
