Inserting prefixes into BGP - redistribute static

• Configuration Example:

  • router bgp 109
    • redistribute static
  • ip route 198.10.4.0 255.255.254.0 serial0

• Static route must exist before redistribute command will work

• Forces origin to be “incomplete”

• Care required!
